FAQ
How does the link between Price-list Server and 3CAD Evolution works?
The link between Price-list Server and 3CAD Evolution, developed with the cooperation of DAU, use the results of the M25 simulation module along with the automatic drawing generation.
In short way, in 3CAD Evolution you will setup the columns with model / variants / options and activate the neutral code for the simulation. When all the activation and setup phase are finished you can launch a massive price calculation with M25 module with any neutral code along with the column configuration. When the simulation is done 3CAD Evolution inject the data to Price-list Server. Some specific topic:
- Price-list Server will get the 3CAD Evolution as absolute data along with neutral article data and the price simulation result.
- Price-list Server will complete the 3CAD Evolution data along with all necessary data for the inDesign document production (ex. Language description)
- Price-list Server with 3CAD Evolution link will use one price-list at time that is called ARTCOMB.
- The data passed from 3CAD Evolution to Price-list Server is native and automatically generated, with a personalized procedure created inside the 3CAD Evolution catalog. For security and consistency the data will be generated and passed in native way without any manual file import against Price-list Server.
If you have any other question you can ask to your DAU consultant or write a mail to us: support@devcore.it , we will be happy to answer you.
The structure of my import file is different from the Price-list Server standard. How can I use it?
Thanks to the highly customizable engine, the Price-list Server can use your file without any changes. Basically, we can develop a custom import profile (check the price-list version first) in just a few minutes or hours, even with the most complex data.
Who is the owner of the InDesign file and all the attachments placed in the vault? Are there any limitations in using my document files without EasyCatalog and Price-list Server?
The InDesign files and the attachments are always the property of the customer, never of Devcore. Your files are consistently usable even without easyCatalogue and Price-list Server active, but obviously, the data links will be ‘dead’ with Price-list Server.
What is the difference between a direct interface and an indirect interface?
The direct interface is a method that connect Price-list Server and your management software without any file between them. The indirect interface has a file produced from your management software that is consumed from Price-list Server. Typically, this file is an Excel or a CSV format file.
How can I know if Price-list Server connect with my management software in direct or indirect interface?
In many years Price-list Server has connected with many management software in many ways. In the initial purchase discussion we will analyze with you the best way to accomplish the connection.
Deeply, what is a direct interface?
The direct interface is a way to connect your management software with Price-list Server without any file between them. It can be done with database native driver connections, open querys or the REST API (json payload). In all these ways your management software and Price-list Server talk each other without any import phase.
